12 Mile Delta Campground Facilities & Rates

ALERT: Please note that the DOC Camping pass will no longer be valid as of 01/12/2024

12 Mile Delta Campground is a great spot for campers in tents and campervans. The camp sites are plentiful and spacious and all are non powered. The campground facilities suit self sufficient travellers.

We do not take bookings so turn up early to get a spot.

If the entrance is unattended on arrival, please follow the signs to self register.

Water

The facilities include clean toilets, picnic tables, and running water.

NOTE: there are no laundry or cooking facilities onsite at 12 Mile Delta.

Our water supply comes directly from nature. You must boil the water before drinking, preparing food, & brushing teeth. Alternatively, bring drinking water.

Campground Rates

  • Nightly Rates per person (All rates are in $NZ)
  • Adult: $15
  • Youth: $7.50 (ages 5-17 years)
  • Dog: $2 per animal (no cats) *

New Year's Eve period (30th December to 1st January)
Please remember that we do no take bookings and cannot guarantee availability during this time.  Secure your spot by arriving early.

Dogs

Please note that we do not accommodate dogs that we believe may cause concern to others, even though we understand that they may have a lovely nature.  If you have a dog that may reasonably be perceived as intimidating, please make alternative arrangements for them before arriving at the camp.
  • We do not accept dogs that are aggressive or who bark persistently, regardless of breed.
  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times and not be left alone in the camp ground.
  • Maximum 2 dogs per group.
  • Please clean up after your dogs so that we may continue to welcome your best friend!
